connoisseur | First Call For Consignments To The April 17th Space Auction A new year is upon us and I started writing lots today for the April sale. I already have a major consignment of flown and unflown Russian space suits and flight suits of museum quality in addition to several other consignments in the US area. There are also a number of flown patch/flags, etc from a variety of Shuttle flights including an unissued Greg Jarvis STS-51L mission patch. Michael |
connoisseur | Any of you who plan on attending SpaceFest in San Diego on Feb. 19, stop by Booth 38. I look forward to seeing or meeting you again. I will also be offering free appraisal services and, should you wish to consign to the April Goldberg auction, I will be pleased to acept consignments. Auction advances can also be arranged. I look forward to a great time meeting old friends. Michael |
andrewcli | That's great that you will be here next month. Do I have questions for you. Can't wait. Andrew |
connoisseur | Great. Hope I can answer your questions satisfactorily. Look forward to having you stop by. Michael |
andrewcli | I just noticed that the catalogue is now available for viewing on their website. Andrew |
connoisseur | Catalogs are in the mail. For those of you on the mailing list in the US, you should have your catalogs this week. For those of you overseas, it will probably take till week after next. Let me know if you fail to receive your copy. Michael |
benguttery | How about a link: Sale 52: The Manuscript & Collectibles Sale w/ Space & Aviation |
teopze | OMG, am I the only one who is surprised by the price tag that was sticked on the item #667: STS-71, FLOWN NASA 20th Anniversary of Apollo Soyuz Medallion? This little beast was sold to floor for $432. I'm speechless, I paid for it $35 and considered it to much at that time. Huh... Anyway, not a very interesting auction for me. Hope you enjoyed shopping more. |
Michael | There were two interesting lots: - Lot 555: 12 Moonwalkers on one item for $12,000. Is that good? and,
- Lot 577: Neil Armstrong Uninscribed SP for $1,400. Is this authentic?

bunnkwio | I couldn't believe the Apollo 17 film presentation ($540) when for almost double the Apollo 11 film presentation ($312). |
gliderpilotuk | I watched the auction, won one item and thought the online bidding technology worked very well. Congrats Michael. Paul |
GACspaceguy | I agree the auction went very smooth on line. |
spaced out | I was a bit confused about the set-up pre-auction as I went through the registry process and was authorized to bid oline but didn't seem to get a bidder number... which meant I was unable to place the bids I wanted before the sale. I used their live auction interface in the end and it seemed to work well, even it was not as impressive as the Heritage version. Only thing is I seemed to win one lot according to the live interface but I've received no email confirmation since. A bit odd not to know if I won something. |
GACspaceguy | If you bid online you can click on "Your Account" on the tool bar, once signed on take a look at the left side. To the left of your profile info there is a list of links, one is "Your Items" click on "you've won" and that should bring up your winning items. There is also a link under "You've lost" for items you bid on and missed. I hope this helps. |
spaced out | In fact I didn't use iCollector to bid, I used the service provided by Goldberg themselves - Goldberg Live Bidding. As I say this seemed to work quite nicely except for the lack of info on the results. |
GACspaceguy | FYI, I recieved my invoice via e-mail this morning. |
spaced out | I contacted Goldberg directly by mail to confirm if I did win the lot and they confirmed it. I too received my invoice yesterday. The only step missing seems to be an automatic confirmation email when you bid using Goldberg's own live system. |
